Back in March 2002 Dojo was born. Created as a Karate Shotokan resource for Romanian Karateka, the site developed more; many articles, now an English version too a forum and soon a specialized directory for Romanian MA sites. As it developed, it became clear to me that I need to read more about Karate Shotokan and even on other styles since they are all fascinating. Little by little I came to have quite a collection of links and they needed a new place to be published.

On October 19 our directory was born on a free host and under the name: International Martial Arts Portal. The goal was pretty simple: to provide as many links related to Martial Arts as possible. We got over 2000 links in few months since starting it.

A good site deserves a good place. Last year we got a domain name and moved to a new home. And since the project is always growing the site got a new "facelift" and a new script to run on. We are indexing tens of Martial Arts sites daily, that means more new content for you each time you come back.
